Corporate Social Responsibility

A spirit of corporate citizenship informs how we approach every project and initiative. We aim to make a difference.

We are all corporate citizens.

We believe that investing in our society and the community through responsible business practices and taking a sustainable approach to the environment are some of the most important contributions that we as a company can make.

We have developed our CSR strategy to enhance how we work and create value, and to ensure that our commercial interests and those interests of the wider society are aligned and mutually supportive. We can shape the future one home, one building, one community at a time – and have fun doing it.

Supporting our Community

The focus of our fundraising events is to help people throughout Ireland who are struggling to support their families. We partner with the St Vincent de Paul charity and support them through our fundraising efforts.

Our Social Committee works with Volunteer Ireland by scheduling “Team Impact Days”, affording us another welcome opportunity to give back to the community, as well as promoting wellbeing and engagement within the company itself.

Supporting Visual Arts

Promoting the visual arts is core to enhancing work life and energising the creative community. We support and acquire contemporary art from living Irish artists such as Isobel Egan, Richard Gormon, Barbara Rae, Donald Teskey and Brian Maguire.

Irish artist Isobel Egan works exclusively with porcelain and is inspired by architecture and its multi-dimensional portrayal of form. This beautiful cityscape of Dublin takes pride of place in our boardroom.

Being Planet Positive

We are committed to reducing energy consumption and minimising waste while encouraging a culture of sustainability and awareness of our impact on the environment.

Some examples of ODREM eco-positive initiatives include our fleet of electric/hybrid vehicles, minimising the use of paper, reducing our workplace energy consumption and encouraging travel by foot, bicycle and public transport. Every positive step counts.

Pro Bono Services

We regularly allocate a portion of time and expertise to help individuals and small businesses, and to advise on the remediation of distressed assets on a pro bono basis.

Contributing to the Profession

Our founder, Siobhan O’Dwyer is a leading member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). She was elected the inaugural Chair of the Property and Facilities Management Professional Group and served as a Council Member with the SCSI for two terms and regularly gives her time as an APC assessor to the SCSI.
